- While redesigning the packaging of the classic Chanel Paris line, each signature scent reflects one aspect of the brand. Instead of opening the package using a fold-and-tuck box, it is designed more like a present with its sturdier, solid, lift-off style. Simply lift off the entire upper half of the lid (solid color). The packaging redesign brings a freshness to a time-tested perfume mogul. Coco Mademoiselle represents the location inspiring Chanel (Paris, France) and the use of a French font. Gabrielle shows the feminine side with beautiful calligraphy. The iconic Chanel Nº5 serves as a founding scent to represent the brand's style and history. The company was founded in 1910, when the Roaring 20's made Chanel Paris a household name, still acclaimed by consumers today.
